WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PRIVATE SOUND BATH?
Sound bath (or ‘sound meditation’) is a profound immersion in harmonious frequencies with a scientific foundation.
The vibrations create a deeply meditative and soothing environment, in which new levels of self-inquiry and self-discovery can take place.
Very often, listeners experience emotional and physical pain relief, an awakening of intuitive knowledge and creativity, and – without exaggerating – deep, spiritual, and life-changing realizations.
Clients generally leave the session feeling more in touch with themselves, while also being more attuned to those around them. And whether I provided sound healing for couples, work colleagues, or ketamine therapy facilitators, numerous times, I witnessed tears of joy and the cleansing of emotional traumas.
Typically, your sound baths include the following;
A short introductory talk in which we explore what sound bathing is.
To make sure that you are well-prepared for the upcoming sound journey, we also take the time to cultivate your intentions in a mindful way (10-20 minutes).
A Q&A session
in which you can ask any questions you may have. (5-10 minutes).
Guided breathwork
(special shamanic breathing technique) to clear the mind followed by drumming a 32-inch frame drum. The length of this part of the event is typically 5-7 minutes.
Guided vocalization
(buzzing, humming, and singing vowels) to open a vocal tract, clear the mind, even more, feel vibrations in the body and become more present before diving into the sound journey. This experience among the breathwork also helps to ground the experiencer and create a unifying field for group work and couples (in case there is a group). The vocalization segment is accompanied by a Shruti box and the facilitator’s encouragement. This part may vary in length upon a request but usually takes 7-10 minutes.
Soaking into a sound bath
(sound journey) with a set of 24 antique Himalayan singing bowls of the highest quality possible, a 42-inch “Tone of Life Cosmo” gong, Koshi chimes, and therapeutic harp.
A deeply nourishing vibroacoustic massage
further enhances the beautiful celebration. This special treatment happens on request and is specifically tailored to those who are celebrating their special moment, be it a birthday, a wedding, a farewell party, or simply an expression of love. Clients can choose from an assortment of different instruments, including tuning forks, a singing bowl, or a harp.
Safe arrival,
eyes opening and reset button activation.
* Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT), is a deep tissue massage using sound waves that are being transmitted to the body by the on-body application of a vibrating source such as a Himalayan singing bowl, tuning fork, or another music instrument with the significantly prominent physical vibrations. The sound and vibrations in this treatment gently penetrate the tissue, promoting deep relaxation of the body on the cellular level.

SOUND BATH BENEFITS
While the sounds that are engendered during a sound bath may be fleeting, the effects they evoke are not.
You are what you listen to!
Over the past five to six years, advertisements like "Transformative Sound Healing", "Rejuvenating Sound Bath", and "Frequency and Sound Therapy" have been popping up all over New York City. There's a good reason for that.
Living in a big city requires us to give up space. Add to that the constant exposure to loud industrial sounds and the multitude of voices around us. It’s easy to see why ‘the big city life’ can be so toxic to our mental wellbeing.
The long-term lack of a personal bubble is incredibly draining. To survive in these loud environments, we often disconnect from our emotions and turn on our autopilot mode. While this protective measure helps us to "get through" our day, it also cuts us off from the insights needed to take good care of ourselves. Over time, the autopilot mode becomes our default regime, and with each passing day, we are alienated more and more from our true and authentic selves.
Surviving instead of thriving becomes the norm.
Is there a solution to this common problem? Yes, mindfulness.
Mindfulness refers to being more aware of the present moment. It means truly witnessing the colors of the evening sky, noticing your breath, and acknowledging and accepting all possible sensations, thoughts, and emotions. Being mindful also means: hearing, listening, and understanding your own voice.
To cultivate mindfulness in your daily life, you have to stop and listen!
Sound is ephemeral and by paying close attention to each transitory vibration we are able to fully connect to the present moment in a natural and effortless way. In other words: we become more mindful.
As a sound bath facilitator, my goal is to provide you with the best environment and tools for you to relearn how to listen and what to listen to. My goal is to help you feel alive.
Although the term "Sound Bath" is not my personal choice for describing the work that I do, I still use it because it is a common name for this deep personal work with sound. The term "Sound Healing" is mainly used in yoga and New Age communities, but there is absolutely nothing New Agey or esoteric about it. In fact, sound healing has a long, rich history that dates back thousands of centuries.
I consider my work as something that goes far beyond bathing my listeners in waves of sound and specific frequencies. Leading sound journeys or sound meditations requires strong ethics and knowledge in music theory, psychoacoustics and psychology. These are vital requirements to offer the listener the following benefits:
- Deep relaxation
- Self-observation
- Significant reduction of stress and anxiety
- Improved mood and well-being
- Mental clearance
- Emotional release
- Thinking “out of box”, more frequent spikes of creativity
- Physical pain reduction (in some cases complete removal for good)
- Improved sleep
- Focus and productivity enhancement
- Rejuvenation and recharging
* Interviews with rehabilitation center residents, collected over several months after my sound therapy sessions
CONDITIONS FOR THE SOUND BATH:
To provide you with the best sound meditation experience, please keep the following requirements in mind:
- A space of 6 feet square to place the instruments
- A relatively quiet environment. As air conditioners and fans produce white noise, these will have to be turned off during the sound bath. Any subtle white noise, no matter how quiet, kills the beautiful nuances and fine details of sound.
- The sound meditation can be experienced while sitting on a chair or sofa. If guests are sitting or laying down on the ground, however, providing a carpet or asking them to bring their own yoga mat and a blanket is advised.
